For qualified HVAC/R technicians

Pressure–temperature
field screening.

WALRUS ranks supported refrigerants by how closely their modeled saturation behavior agrees with a stabilized cylinder temperature and pressure. It works entirely on-device, wherever the work is.

Screening only · Not a laboratory test · No account required

01

Enter the field reading

Record stabilized cylinder temperature and pressure, select the pressure basis, and add elevation when it is useful to your gauge-pressure conversion.

02

See agreement, not a verdict

WALRUS presents Close, Possible, and Weak agreement bands. Several candidates—or none—may fit a single P–T reading.

03

Keep the work offline

The comparison engine, reference data, and local history work without a connection. Optional feedback is the only user-initiated network feature.

A useful boundary

A P–T reading can narrow possibilities. It cannot establish what is in a cylinder.

WALRUS does not establish identity, composition, purity, contamination, safety, equipment compatibility, or suitability for charging, reuse, resale, recovery, reclamation, disposal, or venting. For those decisions, follow applicable law and the cylinder, equipment, refrigerant manufacturer, and safety-data-sheet instructions. When verification matters, use the appropriate analyzer or qualified laboratory.
